Reading the Bible in its entirely is quite a task, especially for young people and not habitual readers. As it happens with great literary works, the initial drive and interest soon fade away and after a few pages or half way through, the book is put aside.

That is why this Concise Bible is a selection of texts from the “books of books” maintaining in its selected fragments the original text without alterations.

In this way the reader becomes aware of particular styles and genres in the different passages of the Bible.

This anthology gets its inspiration in the texts that are more often used in the liturgy and does not in any way hinder the complete reading of the Bible. It is an intermediary stage to discover the richness and beauty of the Word of God as it appears in Scripture, hopefully encouraging the reader to know it more deeply and in its totality.
